Dear Officials in Egypt! This mail reaches you from Germany. In Germany there live a lot of people who like animals a lot, especially cats and dogs. In every 10th household lives at least one dog, 1,4 million households have two dogs and more in their family. Now pictures show all of us the poisoning of strays in Egypt and most of us are really shocked about this. There are so many ways to keep the number of stray dogs small, that none of us can understand this cruel and inhumane act of mass murder in your streets. Castration actions are particularly useful and helpful in this context.I believe that you would find much support for the conduct from various animal welfare organizations. They would certainly give everything to avoid this mass poisoning. There are already working German animal aid organizations that work in Egypt and would certainly be good and helpful contact persons with the appropriate experience. Every year a lot of people from Germany come to Egypt to spend their holidays in your country. If all these people see what you are doing to these dogs, a lot of them will turn the back on this beautiful country and spend their time and money somewhere else. I think that tourism is a quite important factor for Egypt and by poisoning all these dogs you risk to damage the entire tourism which will have economical consequences.. To kill innocent animals, poison them in front of everyones eyes, is not only cruel, it shows a shocking lack of respect for life itself. The news will find the way to all the animal friendly people here in Germany and will corse a negativ reaction, that will not be in your sense. With kind regards
